So as much I decide that I'm cutting down on Starbucks, I do wake up all groggy and have to get some to keep me up in the morning training class right now. So on my drive to work I stop off at the Mockingbird Starbucks off of 75. First of all did you all know that they increased the price again by $.05, again! I realized that 2 weeks ago. That's a whole $.10 in the last year (or year in a half if my memory serves me correctly).
So I go in and order my usual (you all know the drill). They had a new pastry, the orange creme coffee cake and they had samples. So of course me and my cinammon coffee cake kick, I decided to try the sample after I placed my order. Oh my! Luscious!!!! But of course I turn around and the line is too long to get back in for the cake. So I move around the corner and I say, "My that orange creme cake is just tooo good!" The elderly lady in front me of agreed. She said it's really good. She complimented on my clothes and said she loved the color of my top. Then as she got her drink, she says, "Have a good day MAAM!". I just stood there a little surprised. Never really had an elderly lady ever call me 'MAAM'. It was sort of weird hearing that! I'm sure some of you could relate to it or just imagine it.

Next year give it to the accountant
So I've been working on my taxes for the past 2-3 weeks. Let's just say, taxes are easy if all you've got is a W-2 and simple 1099 forms. However stick in the K-1 and then another state's business and then the businesses showing losses. Well there's more time to put in then you expected. I had to go through the Tax software a total of 5-6 times to confirm my results. the first time I got a result that I owed Good Ole Uncle Sam a whopping $3600. The second time I tried Uncle Sam owed me $1700 and I continued and plugged and chugged, till I was able to get 2 of the same results. Right when I was ready to file. Get this mess out of my hair, I was informed that I had a state tax to fill out and turn in for the state of Iowa! Everyone in Big T (Texas, that is), be glad that we do not have to do state taxes on an annual bases! It's a pain in the @$$. Just thought I'd share my experiences of doing my taxes this year! Hope you all have a better time. However for next year, I will not be doing it, I will pay for the services and hand it over to the experts!

Lifting the Age Restriction for Pilots
Something to wonder, is 65 still an age for pilots to be flying airplanes? or the current age of 60? Hard to say which way to go, with the wave of the technology, would the new 65 be the old 60? It may well be the case, but the next time you fly are you going to wonder how old your pilot is? Have you ever wondered the age of the pilot? Do we take some things for granted until media corrupts our mind? Or is it that media is educating us more and making us question the standards that have been set? This is my first blog, but thought I'd set it out with questions that keep keeping up in our everyday lives whether it be this issue or the next. But back to the question, will it bother you if you have a 65 year old pilot or a young 24 year old pilot? What do you think?
